Give During Service

How Can You Give?

"Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have; [why? because of a promise] for He has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)

Benefits of giving

We are blessed when we give.

Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured
to you.”

How do we give?

When it comes to giving, the attitude matters more than the amount.

Mark 12:42-44, "But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

Do I have to give?

Giving is always voluntary, never forced.

II Corinthians 9:7, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Why do we give?

Giving is an act of Worship because it honors God and enables us to trust Him.

Proverbs 3:9, “Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” NLT
